We delivered what we promised!

Goal

Training health care professionals in bare foot acupuncture as well as other Chinese Medicine modalities in underserved communities in Nepal.

Objective

Training  2 sets of health care practitioners in 2 different locations.

Duration

Over 3 weeks for both trainings including traveling time to Kathmandu, Nepal and later on to Upper Mustang.

Training

See training manual.  In summary, we trained them in the use of acupuncture needles, guasha, cupping, tuning forks, moxa, massage, acupressure, blood pressure taking, wound healing care, herb formula usage.

Donations

We asked for and received donations in the form of money, acupuncture needles, moxa, herbs, tuning forks, bandages, multivitamins and other supplies from our local community. No corporate donations.

Program Goals

Kathmandu

3 days training program (Centered in the NSEV : Non-Somatic Extraordinary Vessel) To 15 health care professionals including: homeopaths, acupuncturists, nurses, amici o Tibetan doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, etc.

Upper Mustang

To train over a period of 5 days health workers assigned to the task by the monastic community of Chooser in Upper Mustang.
 (2 Tibetan Lamas – with a background in Tibetan Medicine- were selected by the monastery)
