Goal

To initiate and complete Phase 1 training in Chiapa Mexico.

Duration

Total days 10

  • 2 days of travel time
  • 2 days for organising classroom and materials
  • 6 days of training, this includes theoretical, practical and student clinic

Objective

To train a number of established health practitioners as well as some newcomers, selected from different communities in the state of Chiapas

Donations

Acumarket, LhasaOm and Asiamed donated acupuncture supplies. We also received a small amount of money donations. For this mission, we did not carry out a full fund rising campaign but relayed on personal connections to raise the funds.

Team performance

The local coordinators helped with the local logistics, choose and invited the students and arranged for the venue where the classes were being held. We did our own international travel arrangements. The volunteers covered the total of their own expenses plus travel insurance.
