BAREFOOT CHINESE MEDICINE

NEXT MISSION

Guatemala

March 27- April 04, 2019

Quetzaltenango, Guatemala

The Wu Project goes to Guatemala!

Our next training mission to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
Dates for Phase III: March 27-April 04, 2019.

Trainers: Maria Rosa Romero y Alicia Villamarin (Founders of The Wu Project)
Volunteers: Centro de Atención Xiujtonal, Matthew Wetcher, videographer/photographer

Participants: 30 students coming from the surrounding area of Quetzaltenango-
Theory section will take place in the town of Quetzaltenango, then, for the practical student clinics, we will be setting FREE community clinics, run by the students and closely supervised by the trainers, in a few of the different towns were the students come from to connect them with their townspeople.
The curriculum for these Health Promoters is: “BAREFOOT oriental medicine and natural medicine” that includes Acupuncture, Sound Healing, Acupressure, Moxa, Guasha, Cupping, Korean Hand acupuncture (KHT basic), and Auriculotherapy. We leave them with Acupuncture and Sound Healing supplies to practice their new trade. It is truly a joy to see how well the students in these remote areas take to the teachings! We will go back 3-5 months later to continue with the Phase 2 of the training.

Help us help others!

We envision a world where everyone has access to healthcare. We travel to remote rural regions of the world and set up temporary clinics to TRAIN local health promoters in barefoot Chinese medicine and natural medicine.
