Trainers: Maria Rosa Romero y Alicia Villamarin (Founders of The Wu Project)
Volunteers: Marcela Lucena AP and the collaborators Latin Angels Foundation.
Participants: 40 students coming from the provinces of San Jose, Concepcion, San Ignacio de Velasco, Santa Rosa de la Mina and San Javier.
- Theory section will take place in the town of San Jose de Chiquitos, then, for the practical student clinics, we will be moving to the different provinces were the students come from to connect them with their townspeople.
- The curriculum for these Health Promoters is: “BAREFOOT oriental medicine and natural medicine” that includes Acupuncture, Sound Healing, Acupressure, Moxa, Guasha, Cupping, Korean Hand acupuncture (KHT basic), and Auriculotherapy. We leave them with Acupuncture and Sound Healing supplies to practice their new trade.
It is truly a joy to see how well the students in these remote areas take to the teachings! We will go back 3-5 months later to continue with the Phase 2 of the training.
